Denver Women’s Club meets Feb. 19

The Denver Women’s Club will meet Feb. 19 at Faith United Lutheran Church in Denver beginning at 7 p.m.

Lorah’s Chocolates will be the program for the evening. Ruth (Miller) Lorah started Lorah’s Candies in 1970 in Denver. She learned the chocolate business from her aunt and uncle, George and Effie Miller. Maria (Lorah) Harvey, Ruth’s niece, acquired the business in 2009 and renamed it Lorah’s Handmade Chocolates, LLC. They continue to make chocolates the traditional way with the highest quality ingredients.

Devotions will be led by Sue Dissinger; table display by Nancy Hornberger; hospitality by Joyce Fischer, Nancy Hamill and Shirley Sweigart; hostesses are Kathryn Miller and Linda Shelly and share the arts is by Yvonne Weaver. The fruit of the month is cherries.

All are welcome to join the meeting.

    Loved those Lorah’s chocolates for years. My dad would take me to her shop via an alley
    entrance when visiting Denver.
