Grant awarded to Cocalico Middle School
The Cocalico Education Foundation awarded Cocalico Middle School a grant to paint a mural in their cafeteria.
Local businesses such as Ephrata National Bank, Fulton Bank and Susquehanna Bank participate in the grant program. It is an educational improvement tax credit available to schools. Teachers ask for grants for innovative educational programs meeting the criteria of the Cocalico Education Foundation Program.
This year, the grant went to Cocalico Middle School who used the grant to paint a mural on the cafeteria walls.
Carrie Kingsbury of Promiseland Murals was chosen to head the project with the students, who filled the walls with different scenery.
