Janke graduates from surgical residency program
Kelly J. Janke, D.O., graduated from Temple University Hospital General Surgery Residency on June 22.
She trained at Temple for the past five years, acting as chief resident in general surgery for the past year.
Janke graduated from Messiah College in 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Lancaster General Hospital for two years. She then pursued the study of medicine at Pennsylvania College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia graduating in 2010.
In addition, she completed a traditional rotating internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital, North Philadelphia Health System before beginning her surgical training at Temple. She will practice as a general surgeon with The Surgical Group of Lancaster General Health Physicians-Penn Medicine starting in August.
Janke is married to Bryan Janke who works at 6ABC in Philadelphia. Both are graduates of Cocalico High School. They have three children. She is the daughter of Dr. Bruce and Denise Sensenig of Denver.
