Reamstown Days set to return

Supper is served Friday, Sept. 9, from 4 to 9 p.m., in Reamstown Park as Reamstown Days starts cooking.

Children can enjoy games and “train” rides.

Adults can enjoy Blue Grass music plus a free family movie under the stars. A special treat from 6 to 7 p.m. will be Hershey’s Zoo America with interesting animal facts and animals on hand.

The full day of Saturday events begins with breakfast served from 8 to 10 a.m.

Pretzel City Sports 5 K Run is at 9 a.m., and is preceded by a one-mile walk/run. A nominal fee is charged for the run and pre-registration online at is encouraged.

Snacks, drinks, games, and rides are available all day Saturday. Lunch is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out.

Saturday highlights include a petting zoo from noon to 4 p.m.; local bands playing from noon to 3:30 p.m., a candy drop from a fire truck at 4 p.m., a “duck” race at 5 p.m., and The Fabulous Greaseband, the famous group that performs at New Jersey shore points, will play songs from the Fifties through the Nineties from 7 to 10 p.m.

The duck race again this year benefits the sumWmer children’s lunch program, Acts of Love, sponsored by the Cocalico Ministerium.

Ride wristbands for children will be available for $5 per person per day. Admission and parking are free. All events are held weather permitting.
