A screening of “The BFG” (Big Friendly Giant) will take place in Ephrata’s Grater Park on June 11, at 8 p.m.

The cost of an admission is a non-perishable food item (canned or boxed) to help fill the local food bank.

Free popcorn and raffle tickets will be given to the first 200 people bringing a food item.

Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. In the event of rain, the movie will be shown indoors at Ephrata Rec Center.

Ephrata Area Social Services is sponsoring this event to thank the public for their support throughout the year.

Shown (left to right) are Tom Swalwell, director of EASS; Kathy Kilkuskie, EASS board member; Riley and Maddi Ament, daughters of Chris Ament, EASS board member; and Lowell Yost, EASS board member.
