CAFÉ plans Haunted Theatre Weekend

Community Arts Foundation of Ephrata (CAFÉ) has planned a Haunted Theatre Weekend with classic horror films, and a fun event for kids, at the Ephrata Main Theatre, 124 E. Main St., sponsored by Blue Ridge Communications and the Ephrata Main Theatre. The following events are slated:

Friday Oct .30, 8 p.m. — Night of the Living Dead Zombiefest. Come dressed as your favorite zombie or “get zombified,” with face painting by Chelas of Art of Recycle. Memorialize the evening in the photo booth, enjoy drink specials from 8 to 9 p.m. The original George Romero classic film “Night of the Living Dead” will be shown at 9 p.m. The cost is $10 per person. For safety purposes masks will not be permitted; makeup is acceptable.

Saturday Oct. 31, 10 a.m. to noon — Happy Halloween Kids with a magic show by Insanity Factor, acts of Jennious Hoop Show, face painting by Chelas of Art of Recycle, photo booth, and Halloween cartoons. Kids are encouraged to come in costume. The cost is $5 per person

Sunday Nov 1, 4 p.m. — “Plan 9 from Outer Space,” the best of the worst B movies ever made, will be shown. It was written and directed by Ed Wood starring Vampira and Bela Lugosi in his last film. The cost is $5 per person.

Tickets for Zombie Fest are available in advance online at zombiefest.bpt.me and at the door. All other event tickets will be available at the door.
