For the ninth year in a row, the Concerts by the Creek series will bring nationally known bands to Ephrata’s Grater Park.

Sponsored by the Borough of Ephrata, the first concert, scheduled for June 20 at 6:30 p.m., will feature Dr. Slothclaw, the award winning kings of the freak funk phenomenon

Also set to perform this summer are Green River, the No. 1 nationally touring Creedance Clearwater Revival/John Fogerty Tribute show, July 18, and Mountain Ride, a new generation of bluegrassers, Aug. 15. Both performances are set for 6:30 p.m.

“The concert in the park series has become a staple of entertainment in the summer,” Borough Manager Bob Thompson said. “The quality of the performances are outstanding. This is another great example of the outstanding value added services provided by volunteers to this community. It is a privilege for the borough to be a part of these series of events.”

All concerts are free of charge and are held rain or shine. Food vendors will be available on-site.

The concerts are organized by Penny Talbert, executive director of the library, and Chief William Harvey, Ephrata police chief.
