Free movie screening at New Main

Shown is a scene from “The Anonymous People,” a feature documentary film about the over 23 million Americans living in longterm recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs. You can see and discuss the film for free on April 21 at The New Main theater, Ephrata.
The RASE Project, in conjunction with Ephrata Cares and The New Main theater are hosting a free movie screening of “The Anonymous People,” on April 21 at 2 p.m.
“The Anonymous People” is a feature documentary film about the over 23 million Americans living in long-term recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs. Although statistics back that two out of three families are affected by addiction, deeply entrenched social stigma, have kept recovery voices silent and faces hidden for decades. The documentary helps to bring real faces and voices to the issue, and educates the community on encouraging those affected to seek help.
The RASE Project is hosting a panel discussion afterwards at 3:30 p.m., featuring local experts and faces of our neighbors in recovery. Vendor tables with more information and resources will also be available. Doors open at 1 p.m.; the concession stand will be open as well.
