With an all new management team, Kanpai Asian Kitchen focuses on the best quality, well-prepared Asian food. “We wanted to add sushi to the menu and we have a new sushi bar, where people can try sushi samples,” says Sam, one of the managers. Once you try Artfully-Prepared-Sushisushi, chances are that you will be back for more. The sushi is prepared using only the freshest seafood own in directly from Miami. The presentation is like fine art, with exotic owners, thin-sliced fruit fanned out in a colorful array of flavors to enhance shrimp, tuna, lobster, salmon, crab and other seafood. It’s fascinating to watch the sushi chefs as they expertly prepare sushi rolls like the Monster Roll with spicy lobster salad, shrimp tempura, yellowtail, mango, avocado and fish roe. The Dancing Ocean Roll has spicy white tuna, asparagus, yellowtail, salmon, jumbo shrimp and fish roe, while the Sexy Girl is made with fresh scallops, crab, lobster, asparagus, strawberry and mango. In case you’re not sure about raw sushi, there are lots of vegetarian and cooked sushi options like Shrimp Tempura Roll with cooked shrimp tempura and vegetables, California Roll with cooked crab, avocado and vegetables and the Avocado Roll. They are all served with ginger and wasabi that you can eat with chop sticks or by hand or fork, if you prefer. The Japanese menu at Kanpai also offers noodle dishes like Shrimp Tempura Udon and Beef Yaki Udon. Japanese desserts are especially delicious, like the Tempura Fried Banana, the Tempura Fried Ice Cream and Mochi Ice Cream in flavors like mango, strawberry and refreshing green tea. The Chinese menu at Kanpai is huge. There are all the classic appetizers, fried rice, sweet and sour, lo mein, egg foo yung, vegetables, pork, beef, chicken and seafood dishes. There are combination dishes that provide an entree with egg roll and fried rice. There are also lunch specials at great prices with soup and fried or steamed rice. Among the favorites at Kanpai are the Crab Rangoon appetizer, Beef or Chicken Lo Mein, Pork Chow Mei Fun and Moo Goo Gai Pan. Chef’s suggestions include the General Tso’s Chicken with crispy white meNew-Managers-at-Kanpaiat chicken in a spicy sauce, the Happy Family with lobster, shrimp, scallop, chicken and beef with vegetables in brown sauce and the tasty Salt and Pepper Shrimp. There is no longer a buffet at the restaurant. Everything is prepared fresh when you order it, which means that your food isn’t sitting out in trays for hours. It’s made just for you, to your specifications, with healthy vegetable oil and no MSG. You can even BYOB to enjoy with your meal. The newly updated Kanpai is getting rave reviews from customers, like one customer who says, “Mission accomplished.
