Keep Cool this Summer at Miner’s Pub at Iron Valley

It’s always just a little cooler when you head to Iron Valley Golf Club and the fun-fi lled Miner’s Pub and Grill.

That’s because this great summer spot is located in Cornwall, in the beautiful woodlands not far from Mount Gretna. A visit to Miner’s Pub and Grill is an experience to savor, as you drive along Route 322 amid tall trees and lush greens of summer. The wide open windows and panoramic patio view of the Miner’s Pub make the experience even more enjoyable.

wine-glassOf course, this is a pub, which means you’ll want to try the great craft beers. The Miner’s Pub has teamed up with Snitz Creek Brewery to create a beer called Miner’s Pub Porter #8. Ryan Mancarz, head brewer at Snitz Creek, describes it as, “A smooth and easy drinking beer with roasted malts and hints of smokiness.”

Jeffry Dodson, executive chef of Miner’s Pub adds that, “We wanted to have a house beer that was representative of our area. Not only does it taste great, the name has a great flow to it.”

“Having a house beer in addition to great selection of other craft beers was something we felt would add to the dining experience,” says Jeff Harper, COO of Byler Holdings, the parent company of Miner’s Pub and Iron Valley Golf, while Patrick Freer, president of Snitz Creek Brewery, says, “We were thrilled when we got the call. The partnership not only increases the presence and value of both of our brands, it also creates a positive impact on the community in which we live.”

Miner’s Pub Porter #8 is currently available on draught or growlers and can be enjoyed during normal restaurant hours. The history behind the original porter recipe is a bit of a legend and can be read when visiting Miner’s Pub. The Miner’s Pub Porter #8 is drawn from a unique tap head, created from the top of a pickaxe.

Chef Jeffry Dodson puts the accent on fun, fresh and fl avorful, with creations for lunch, dinner or just a snack after a round of golf. The casual menu features everything from their  Iron Valley wings, grilled Italian steak wrap, build your own burger and blackened chicken taco salad to macaroni and cheese, chicken marsala, Delmonico streak and crab cakes. Golf-Course

Located at the Iron Valley Golf Club, it almost seems like your own private country club. Iron Valley is actually a public golf course and restaurant, with breathtaking emerald green rolling hills. Iron Valley Golf Club opened in the spring of 2000 on a 352-acre tract of land. Named for the historical ironworks dating back to the late 1700s, Iron Valley’s golf course was designed by the world renowned P.B. Dye.

Miner’s Pub is open every day at 11 a.m. It’s located at 201 Iron Valley Drive, Lebanon. Just take Route 322 West and get off at the Cornwall exit.
