Event will help fund game room

On Saturday, April 13, the Ephrata American Legion Riders from Post 429 will hold a “pool party” themed dance featuring Lititz’s My Little Tony to help raise money to continue the renovations on their downstairs banquet/bar facilities at the Ephrata American Legion, 300 Cocalico St.

The doors will open at 7 p.m., and the band will start playing at 8 p.m. There will be a limited menu available until 9, and a cash bar, drink specials, and other surprises throughout the night.

Advance tickets are on sale now at the post for $10, or $15 at the door. Come in your favorite Hawaiian shirt, shorts, dress, flip flops, sunglasses or beach attire (no bathing suits, please). The “pool party” is a play on the fact that the downstairs will be home to a game room, housing a pool table, dart board and shuffleboard table, as well as a stage for bands. It will feature capability to seat approximately 75, and another bar.

The Legion Riders and the Sons of American Legion have been consistently doing renovations since January of this year and hope to have the project done by the summer. Call Scott at 717-572-5979 or the post at 717-733-2576 with questions.
