Lititz Rotary Travelogue visits Amazon

Chuck Oettel and the Swing Street Duo provide musical preludes

The next Rotary Club of Lititz Travel & Adventure Series will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Warwick High School Performing Arts Center, 301 W. Orange St.

There are two performances: a matinee at 2 p.m. with a musical prelude starting at 1:30 p.m., and an evening show at 7:30 p.m. with a musical prelude starting at 7. The musical preludes will be performed by Chuck Oettel and the Swing Street Duo.

The fifth travelogue of the season will feature “The Amazon” with Marlin Darrah as the professional cinematographer. Venture far up the least inhabited river in the Amazon Basin: The Rio Negro. Attendees will explore areas very rarely visited and seek out the mysterious life of the wilderness that stirs in the forest and in the heart of wild nature. This trip explores some of the most untouched rainforest in all of the Amazon and includes creatures almost never seen. Some areas of the Amazon have remained unchanged for millions of years. The program comes to a close with a visit to the fascinating jungle city of Manaus.
