Mickey Tait giving Bachata lessons at Tellus360 Friday night

Catch Bachata Fever Friday night, Aug. 19, at Tellus360, 24 E. King St., Lancaster. Mickey Tait, founder of Tait Towers and partner in Rock Lititz, will be offering free Bachata dance lessons at 7:30 p.m.

Basic Bachata is super easy to learn, with just three steps and a tap. Bachata originated in Dominican Republic. It is both a style of music and a dance. This lesson will explore how the dance works, not only with traditional Bachata music, but also with pop and rock.

Bachata can be mastered in just one lesson. From there style and complexity can be added incrementally, making Bachata fun for everyone, from beginner to advanced. Dancers do not need to bring a partner in order to participate.

Following the free lesson, the party continues on the dance floor.

The event is for those 21 and older, and a $5 cover will be charged. General dancing starts at 9:30. Learn more at tellus360.com.
