The annual 5K Rabbit Run will kick off the 15th Rothsville Community Day, set for Saturday, Sept. 17. All events will be held at Forney Field, on Church Street, Rothsville.

The 5K fun run/walk begins at 9:30 a.m., and is sponsored by Wellspan Family & Pediatric Medicine, Rothsville. Registration starts at 9 a.m. Proceeds from the $10 registration fee will benefit a local charity.

Free events of the day will include kid’s games and activities, music, and food. A perennial favorite, the helicopter candy drop takes place at 10:45 a.m. A barrel train and bounce house will also be on hand.

Get ready to laugh with Ryan & Friends in the afternoon. Kids of all ages can take part in an egg toss, wheel barrow race, and three legged race. Door prizes from local businesses will be given away throughout the day.

The event is sponsored by Rothsville area churches: Jerusalem Lutheran, Millport Mennonite, Salem United Methodist, and St. Paul’s E.C.; in conjunction with the Northern Regional Police, the Rothsville Fire Company and the Rothsville Ambulance Association.
