‘Swing!’ down to Dutch Apple
Jump and jive with hits from the Big Band Era in Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre’s production of “Swing!” The production showcases the music and dance phenomenon that enthralled a generation and is drawing new fans today. “Swing!” begins Aug. 9 and runs through Sept. 15.
Nominated for six Tony Awards in 2000, including Best Musical, “Swing!” will have you ready to dust off your dancing shoes. The Dutch Apple production features a phenomenal eight-piece big band on stage and a cast of singers and dancers ready to perform the greatest hits of the 30s and 40s, like “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “I’ll Be Seeing You,” “In the Mood,” “Stompin’ at the Savoy,” “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing),” and many more.
Get ready to be transported back into the Big Band Era and see specialty styles of dance like Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Jive, Hip-Hop Swing and more.
