Taste of the Town – April 2, 2014 Edition
With the change of seasons, come many exciting changes for the Tomato Pie Cafe!
Manager Brenda Blevins recently brought her experience to the cafe and has comfortably slipped into her new role as the busy season approaches.
Also new to the Tomato Pie Cafe family is custom event coordinator Jena Miller. She plans all special events at both locations from bridal showers to the most recent Valentine’s Day wedding in the cozy upstairs of the Lititz cafe. They can accommodate a wide range of guests and offer a custom menu for each group— including BYOB. Contact Jena at firstname.lastname@example.org for more event information.
Tomato Pie Cafe recently completed a kitchen remodel that had diners anxiously awaiting their reopening after the four-day project. With an updated kitchen, the staff can more easily serve up their unique menu items with the freshest ingredients. As the chilly weather gives way to sunshine and blue skies, fresh tomatoes and hand-picked herbs straight from the Tomato Patch will make their way onto the menu. Guests will have the option to enjoy a delicious salad or seasonal treat in this quaint outdoor dining area.
For the month of April only, Tomato Pie Cafe is featuring the Salty Schreiber Shake—a unique blend of coconut, chai, and vanilla ice cream, followed by a slightly salty surprise. Making this treat even sweeter, $1 from each shake will benefit Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center. Schreiber has supported children with disabilities as well as their families since 1936. This shake supports a great cause and is a must try!
Tomato Pie Cafe is open Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is located at 23 North Broad Street, Lititz. Check them out at www.tomatopiecafe.net.
