Sundays are special at Lintia’s Restaurant & Bakery, where you can now enjoy a delicious Sunday breakfast and lunch.
“The Sunday menu has a nice selection that people enjoy, like soups in a bread bowl, our blueberry yogurt salad, the raspberry chicken salad wrap and chicken Cordon Bleu,” says Sadie Crills, who opened Lintia with her husband Dave back in December.
The Crills named their new Manheim restaurant Lintia, which comes comes from their daughters’ first names— Linde and Tianna. The entire family works together at Lintia, with Sadie handling most of the baking. Many of the recipes are family recipes, and Sadie describes it as country cooking with a contemporary flair.
The Sunday breakfast menu features breakfast combos, like the Country Breakfast with eggs, pancakes or French toast, bacon, sausage or ham, hash browns and toast. There are also many other breakfast options, like omelets, fruit crepes, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches.
The Sunday lunch menu has a variety of salads, sandwiches, wraps, and entrees that include chicken croquettes, roast beef, ham loaf, grilled Swiss chicken and crab cakes. It’s the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
All week long, you can enjoy many Lintia’s specialties, some named after family favorites, like Dave’s burger, with bacon, onions, mushrooms and Cooper sharp cheese. The Opal wrap is a favorite of Linde and Tianna, a nice healthy wrap with chicken, mushrooms, red onion, spinach, tomato and chipotle mayo.
In Spring, you will enjoy all the refreshing salads, sandwiches and entrees, including the strawberry Mandarin salad, Pittsburgh salad, crispy chicken salad, spinach bacon salad, avocado turkey bacon wrap, beef and provolone panini, pasta primavera, shrimp and pasta, citrus salmon, butter fried shrimp and chicken Marsala. There is also a vegetarian menu with choices like avocado black bean wrap, grilled veggie wrap and vegetable platter.There are daily specials with meatloaf on Tuesday, chicken pot pie on Wednesday, barbecued spare ribs on Thursday, fish and chips on Friday and stuffed chicken breast on Saturday. There is a soup of the day and a quiche of the day. Coming soon, you can enjoy quick grab-and-go soups, salads and sandwiches that are ready to go. And be sure to savor any one of the Lintia’s desserts, to eat in or carry out. The ever-growing selection includes peanut butter pie, fruit pie, lemon cream pie, chocolate cake with peanut butter icing and sticky buns.
The decorating at Lintia’s was selected by Linde and Tianna, with a color scheme of soft cream and deep aubergine shades. They even did wall murals, and artwork by local artists and high school students from Manheim Central and Conestoga Valley.
Lintia’s Restaurant & Bakery is located at 196 Doe Run Road, at the corner of Doe Run and Penryn roads in Manheim. There are two rooms for groups, one for about 20 and the other for 50. They offer a Senior Citizen menu, as well as a Kid’s Menu. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., closed on Monday.
