Give Your Valentine Something to Love at the Penguin Hotel

There are many ways to show your sweetheart how much you care. At the Penguin Hotel, you can express your love in many ways.

You might do it with a juicy 16 oz. Ribeye steak with baked potato and vegetable. Maybe an 8 oz. Grilled Swordfish with rice pilaf and vegetable will win her over? How about Apple & Brie stuffed Chicken Breast with rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables? Who could resist a sweetheart feast with Twin Lobster Tails with drawn butter, baked potato and vegetable?

For Valentine’s Day (and beyond), you can show your love with the Valentine’s Day Special Menu, from Wednesday, Feb. 14, through Sunday, Feb. 18. Select two entrees from the Special Menu, with each priced from $18.95 to $28.95, and get a complimentary bottle of wine. You might want to start your Valentine’s dinner with a Seared Ahi Tuns appetizer, and you will need to add a sweet dessert, like Triple Chocolate Cake with peanut butter cups or White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, both served with vanilla bean ice cream.

As soon as you enter the Penguin Hotel, you can feel the L-O-V-E. The historic 1880s tavern is all dressed up with red and pink hearts. There are friendly white and black penguins that stand outside and welcome visitors with a sign that says, “Come in as strangers, leave as friends.”

The Penguin Hotel is famous for its jumbo gourmet wings, available in dozens of flavors, like honey mustard, sweet Thai chili, Penguin hot and raspberry habanero. They also have a full line-up of great appetizers, like loaded Penguin Fries and Beef Nachos. There are also juicy burgers, Philly cheese steaks, Mount Airy steak salad, homestyle chili and more.

There are daily specials too. On Monday, the seafood specials include 1 lb. of steamed clams for $6, 1/2 lb. of shrimp for $8, and baked haddock and fries for $11. Tuesday is Taco Tuesday, with a variety of tasty tacos. Wednesday is Black Diamond Steak day with their famous marinated steak paired with fries for $11. Thursday it’s wings for $8.50 a dozen. Located at 55 East Church Road in Stevens, the historic 1800s tavern was once known as the Mt. Airy Hotel. Starting in January, The Penguin Hotel hours are Monday through Saturday, from 11 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. To get to the Penguin Hotel, take Route 322 to Durlach Road, toward the village of Mt.
