Calling all ‘Parrot Heads’
Ephrata will be turning into Margaritaville on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. as the Ephrata merchants pull together a fun community event celebrating the waning days of the season.
Bring on the flip flops, Bermuda shorts and your ugliest Hawaiian Shirts!
Summer is quickly ebbing into fall and what better way to go out with a bang than to celebrate with an Ugliest Hawaiian Shirt Contest and a Drum Off at the upcoming Ephrata Whistle Stop Open Air Market, Saturday, Aug. 16. Prizes will be awarded for winners of both contests. Looking to purchase a shirt for the contest? Plan on visiting the great variety of Resale Retailers in downtown Ephrata!
The Ephrata Whistle Stop Plaza, Main Street, will be buzzing with more than 20 vendors, where you will be nibbling on shoe-fly pie, chowing down on “Cheeseburgers in Paradise,” and sipping on coconut slushies! You will surely not be ‘Wastin’ Away in Ephrata!”
The market will also be host to the first Drum-Off, the search for the top undiscovered drummer and a chance to be recognized and rewarded for your skills. You can register for the drum off by contacting Beams Music Studio at (717) 733-8037 or beamsmusic@me.com
Stop by the Ephrata Merchants Hospitality table to receive information about upcoming events in Ephrata or visit us on Facebook or Ephrata Merchants.com.
