Ceremony set for June 2 at War Memorial

The Ephrata Area School District announced this week that next week’s graduation ceremony, planned for 7 p.m. Thursday June 2 at War Memorial Field (weather permitting), will be streamed live over the Internet.

“This is a great opportunity for family and friends who live far away or are unable to attend for various reasons to view the graduation of your senior,” a district release stated Tuesday. “This is our first attempt at streaming graduation and we are very excited that our tech department can bring this to our school community.”

There will be several other senior-related events prior to the big night, starting this evening in the high school auditorium, when the annual senior awards ceremony is slated for 7 p.m.

Then a week later, the baccalaureate program will be held Wednesday, June 1, also at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

Be sure to pick up a copy of next week’s special graduation edition of The Ephrata Review which will feature photos of all the seniors from Ephrata and Cocalico in a special pull-put keepsake edition. There will also be senior award results, senior sports photo pages, campus news, and other graduation-related material.
