UZRC Semi-Chocolate Stroll is Feb. 27

United Zion Retirement Community will once again be hosting its Semi-Chocolate Stroll on Saturday, Feb. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. throughout the halls of UZRC. The event is open to the public and a suggested donation of $5 per person will be requested at the main entrance to enjoy the treats on the tour.

There will be more than 12 stops along the tour with more to come, offering an array of chocolate confections created by local area businesses, as well as the UZRC Dietary Department and staff.

Red Rose City Chorus will entertain guests throughout the event. A continued feature to the event will be a silent auction, offering an array of items that currently include gift certificates from The Ephrata, Rec Center, Kreider Farm Tour, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, Lititz Rec Center, Bomberger’s Store, Kitchen Kettle Village, and the Turkey Hill Experience to name a few. Also featured is an array of jewelry from the Lititz Watch & Jewelry, autographed sports pictures and handcrafted items.

All proceeds received from the event benefit the UZRC Caring Fund, the community’s benevolent fund. The Caring Fund provides resources enabling United Zion to continue the same quality of care and daily assistance should a resident’s own resources become inadequate to cover the full cost of care.

United Zion Retirement Community is located at 722 Furnace Hills Pike. To learn more, call Jessica Kistler at 626-2071 x1006 or e-mail
