Ice day

Ice day…for fishing
While ice has certainly been plaguing the area over the past week, with perhaps the worst storm yet Tuesday evening, some brave fishermen decided to make the most of the situation last weekend at Middle Creek
Wildlife Area. In the top photo, Stan Hall captured multiple groups of anglers taking advantage of the firm ice in 19 degree weather Sunday; (bottom) on Saturday, photographer Dwight Palm ventured out onto the lake and snapped some pictures of the Wingenroth boys — three generations of ice fishermen.
