New entertainment added to this year’s event

The Ephrata Junior-Senior Prom and Post Prom are scheduled for May 14.

The Post Prom committee once again has a big night scheduled at Lily’s and the Main Theater but a big night needs lots of hands to make things run smoothly.

Scheduled from 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, the Post Prom will have plenty of entertainment options and fun to keep students going through the night.

Along with dancing, food, casino and other games associated with the traditional event, organizers have added several new attractions. This year inside the twin Main theaters, there will be a new “mechanical bull-style” surf attraction, which will test student’s ability to stay on board; as well as an interactive trivia game on the other big screen. New magazine cover photo booths and a yet-to-named featured entertainment act are also planned.

In addition to helpers the night of Post Prom, the committee is also looking for volunteers the Friday night before and for clean-up Sunday afternoon. Approximately 50 helpers are needed for everything to run smoothly.

Help for any amount of time is appreciated. If interested, please contact Betty Heydt at bettyc21@ptd.net or on the Ephrata Post Prom Facebook page.

Volunteers can also sign up online at: volunteersignup.org/D8XMT

Tickets are being sold during lunch April 28 and are $15 before the event, $20 at the door.
