Abbie J. Brice, 82, longtime Clay Elementary secretary, enjoyed making jewelry, fishing trips

Abbie J. Brice, 82, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in York to the late V. Chester and Helen (Allen) Smith, and was the wife of Elwood C. Brice, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.

She was of Lutheran faith and was a secretary for Clay Elementary School for 25 years before retiring. She enjoyed making jewelry, fishing trips to Canada and feeding wildlife and cats.

In addition to her husband, Abbie is survived by two sons: Christopher Allen Brice of Gap; Daniel Sean, husband of Carla (Elia) Brice of Kleinfeltersville; three granddaughters: Bobbi Jo Nolt, Haley Brice, Taylor Brice; great-grandchildren: Randi Paige Kelley, Torri Ann Nolt, Carson Nolt; two great-great-grandsons: Luke and Landon Kelley; and three nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter: Wendy Brice; and a sister: Jean Schier.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
