Abram Paul Snader Sr., 82, Ephrata native, Highland Tank worker, enjoyed hunting, NASCAR

Abram Paul Snader Sr., 82, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at ManorCare, where he had resided for the past six months.

Born and raised in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Royer M. and Marie Shaner Snader.

Better known to his family and friends as Paul, he worked for many years as a welder for various area companies. He retired in 2004 after 20 years of service from the Highland Tank Co. where he worked as the plant production manager. After retirement, he worked at the Manheim Auto Auction. Paul was an avid hunter in all seasons, both locally and at his favorite area in Potter County. In addition, he enjoyed football, especially rooting for the Steelers, and NASCAR.

He is survived by his children: Deborah A. Young; Douglas A. Snader, and his wife Joy; Pamela A. Snader; Abram P. “Abe” Snader Jr., and his wife Diane; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, who grew up and lived in the Ephrata and Denver area: Harold, Calvin, Robert Snader; and Mary Weitzel.

At Paul’s request, there will be no formal services.
