Albert Ronald Trimble Sr., 99, U.S. Army COE Major in WWII, Koppers Inc. engineer for 40 years

Albert Ronald Trimble Sr., 99, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Ephrata Manor.

He was born in Blairsville to the late Albert C. and Minnie (Luchsinger) Trimble, and was the husband of the late LaRue (Rosensteele) Trimble, who passed away in 2010.

Albert was an engineer for Koppers, Inc. for 40 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers serving as a Major during World War II. He graduated from Carnegie Tech in 1941.

Albert is survived by two sons: A. Ronald “Ron” Trimble Jr. of Denver, Colo.; Kerry L., husband of Kathe (Dover) Trimble of Lititz; four grandchildren: Maggie, wife of David Alcala of Norfolk, Va.; Dustin, husband of Jessica Trimble of Mount Joy; Zachary Trimble of Lititz, Amber; wife of Michael Penn of Westminster, Colo.; five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law: Charlotte Roberts of Oregon.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 13, at 1:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Road, Annville.
