Amos Melvin Lindberg, 87, Ephrata Manor resident, veteran of the United States Air Force

Amos Melvin Lindberg, 87, of Ephrata, formerly of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Ephrata Manor.

Born Dec. 4, 1927 in West Earl Township, he was the son of the late Amos Wilson and Anna Viola Fassnacht Lindberg.

Amos served in the U.S. Air Force.

Amos is survived by two daughters: Althea Rollman of Ephrata; and Angela Mae Smith of Hagerstown, Md.; four sisters: Kas Ginsimer, Marion Dissinger, Ethel Bartlett, and Helen McWilliams; seven grandchildren: Aundrea Fasnacht, Christina Rushton, Holly Stewart, Alta Barthelow, Justin Rollman, Jarrod Rollman, and Jason Rollman; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Amos is preceded in death by his wife: Anna Mae Lindberg, who passed away Aug. 26, 1998; and three brothers: John Lindberg, Charles Lindberg, and Joel Lindberg.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. at Ephrata Seventh-day Adventist Church, 223 Cedar St., Ephrata.
