Amos Reiff Hoover. 63, farmer, was New Holland Old Order Mennonite Church member

Amos Reiff Hoover, 63, of New Holland, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at his residence.

He was born in Earl Township to the late Benjamin F. Jr., and Susan (Reiff) Hoover and was the husband of Katie Rissler (Zimmerman) Hoover.

He was a member of the New Holland Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference. Amos was a farmer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Allen, Mary, Emma, Alvin and Alma, all at home; Harlan, husband of Lois (Nolt) Hoover of Narvon; LeRoy Hoover of New Holland; Norma, wife of Delton Nolt of Ephrata; Melvin, husband of Karen (Zimmerman) Hoover of Stevens; nine grandchildren; siblings: Anna Martin of Newville; Elam, husband of Nora (Martin) Hoover of Ephrata; Lizzie, wife of Mervin Weaver of East Earl; Aaron, husband of Elsie (Sensenig) Hoover of Lititz; Martha, wife of George Horst of Ephrata; Ella, wife of Aaron Garman of Penn Yan, N.Y.; Alta, wife of Clarence Garman of Narvon; Henry, husband of Anna (Nolt) Hoover of New Holland.

In addition to his parents: he was preceded in death by two sons: Leon and Gerald Hoover; and six siblings: Mary, John, Esther, Lena, Emma and Paul Hoover.

Services were held July 17 at New Holland Old Order Mennonite Church, with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment took place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
