Anna Zimmerman, 96, homemaker

Anna Mary Zimmerman, 96, formerly of Ephrata and New Holland, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Cocalico Christian Home in Denver.

Born in East Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Lydia (Hurst) Martin. Her husband, Clayton S. Zimmerman, died Aug. 13, 1980.

Anna Mary was a homemaker and a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Surviving are four children: Loretta, wife of Aaron Nolt, of Ephrata; Lester, husband of Dianna (Berrier) Zimmerman, of Lancaster; Grace, wife of Rex Lechlitner, of Goshen, Ind.; and Elsie, wife of Leon Eby, of Ephrata; 16 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; a daughter-in-law: Vera (High) Zimmerman, of New Holland; a sister: Esther Zimmerman, of Ephrata; a brother: Harry, husband of Luella (Nolt) Martin, of New Holland; and a sister-in-law: Martha Stauffer, of Denver.

Preceding her in death is a son: Clarence Zimmerman; a grandson: Curtis R. Zimmerman; a granddaughter: Angela Lechlitner; two great-grandchildren: Anya and Tegan Zimmerman; and a brother: Weaver Martin.

Funeral services were held May 30 at Weaverland Mennonite Church with the bishops Amos G. Martin, Bishop Curvin Z. Zimmerman, Harlan W. Martin and Amos K. Martin officiating.
