Barbara M. Kindt, 71, active in church, school, volunteered with special needs kids

Barbara M. Kindt, 71, of Ephrata, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Audubon Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lititz.

Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Robert and Helen (Kutz) Heller.

Barbara was a member of the Ephrata Church of the Brethren, where she taught various age groups in Sunday school. She was a former Cub Scout den mother, PTA leader, and volunteered her time to help special needs children.

She is survived by a son: Robert Kindt and his wife Lisa of Lititz; a granddaughter: Amanda Kindt of Lititz; two sisters: Janet Rucks of Bath and Florence Kelly and her husband Lawrence of Souderton; and a brother: Robert Heller and his wife Virginia of Bath.

Services were held May 5 at Ephrata Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Rob Eshelman officiating. Interment was in the Farmersville Cemetery, Easton.
