Bernard J. Clark, 58, Ephrata, musician, animal lover, kind, with a dry sense of humor

Bernard J. Clark, 58, of Ephrata, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

Known to friends as John, he was born in Chorley, Lancashire, England, to the late Thomas and Sarah (Mills) Clark, and was the husband of Carolee (Cline) Clark.

A musician, animal lover and active member of AA, John was known for his kindness, dry wit, and sense of humor.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughter: Courtney Clark of Philadelphia; and his brother: Paul, husband of Luetta Clark, of California.

A visitation will be held Monday, March 28, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., at the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 320 Church Ave., Ephrata, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Father John McLoughlin as celebrant. There will be a gathering to celebrate John’s life at the Eicher Art Center in Ephrata immediately following the Mass. Final Commendation will be private at the convenience of the family.
