Betty L. Himelright, 88, Galen’s retiree, was postmistress there, organ player, loved the Lord

Betty L. Himelright, 88, passed away Sept. 30, 2017, at Ephrata Manor.

Mrs. Himelright lived most of her life in the Ephrata and Lincoln areas. She worked at Hamilton Watch. In 1997, she retired from Galen’s of Ephrata, where she had worked 45 years in the office area, and was postmistress at the substation post office. She attended the New Beginnings Grace Brethren Church of Myerstown.

Betty enjoyed playing the organ and took pride in her home. She loved the Lord and was always ready to encourage people.

She was the daughter of the late Irvin and Martha (Mummert) Wise, and stepmother, Nancy Annie (Yoder) Wise; and was the wife of the late Carl F. Himelright, who passed away in 1999.

She is survived by sister: Olene Beiler of Ephrata; and nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m., with Pastor Keith Shearer officiating. Interment will take place in the Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery.
