Brian ‘Pork’ E. Shenk, 65, Ephrata, Boose Aluminum Foundry worker, avid motorcyclist

Brian “Pork” E. Shenk, 65, of Ephrata, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Ephrata Community Hospital.
He was born in Lancaster to the late Fred E. Shenk and Helen I. (Runk) Shenk, of Brunnerville. He was the husband of Carol (Weaver) Shenk with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.
He worked for Warwick and Boose Aluminum Foundries. Pork enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking long drives. He was an avid motorcycle rider. He loved visiting family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Jessica (Shenk) Cooper of Denver; stepson: Jon M. Leeking of Delaware; two granddaughters: Kaitlyn and Mariah; sister: Brenda, wife of Elwood Gardner of Brunnerville; and brother: Barry, husband of Beth Runk of Lititz.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata. At the request of family no funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pork’s memory may be made to Middle Creek Wildlife Management Assoc., c/o Pennsylvania Game Commission, 2001 Elmerton Ave., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
