Carol Carvell, 59, Bax Plus employee, HACC graduate
There is another angel is Heaven.
Carol Carvell, 59, of Lititz, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.
She was born in Lancaster to the late Abram Alleman and Betty (Gertler) Alleman of Holtwood. She was the devoted wife of Curtis Carvell with whom she shared 24 years of marriage. He will carry her in his heart always. She will also be deeply missed by her three daughters: Carrie, wife of Keith Martinez of Hampstead, Md.; Tara Lee, wife of Kyle Sorensen of Lancaster; Tara Rae, wife of Teddy Turner; seven grandchildren; her mother: Betty (Gertler) Alleman; a brother: Jeff Alleman of Holtwood; and two sisters: Cheryl Alleman of Peach Bottom and Merlean Brown of Holtwood.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul "Butch" Alleman.
Carol graduated from McCaskey High School in 1971. She last worked for Bax Plus. Carol, being a very caring and giving person, decided to pursue a career helping people. She attended college and earned an Associate Degree in Psychology at the Harrisburg Area Community College. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to Myrtle Beach on family vacations, shopping, reading, gardening and going to yard sales.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held Saturday, June 29, at 1 p.m. at the Salem United Methodist Church, 1744 Old Rothsville Rd., Rothsville, with Pastor David Unangst officiating.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at Lancaster General Hospital for the care Carol received and for the special care she received at the Mt. Joy Hospice Center.
