Christian S. Binkley Jr., 75, Akron, mechanic at Wissler’s American, enjoyed hunting, fishing

Christian S. “Bink” Binkley Jr., 75, of Akron, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was the husband of Dorothy Mae (Sweigart) Binkley and son of the late Christian S. Binkley Sr. and Anna M. (Shirk) Binkley.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Robesonia, and worked as a mechanic for Wissler’s American in Ephrata for over 30 years. Christian enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He will be lovingly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his wife. Dorothy, he is survived by two sons: Christian S. Binkley III, husband of Kathy (Thompson) Binkley; and Michael L. Binkley, husband of Vanessa (Root) Binkley, all of Ephrata; one daughter: Tina M., wife of Steven Sweigart of Myerstown; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Pauline, wife of Dennis Fehr; Mary Jane, wife of Fritz Moser; and Jean, wife of Jerry Keck; and two brothers: Leroy Binkley; and John, husband of Wanda Binkley.
In addition to his parents, Christian was preceded in death by a son: Dennis J. Binkley; grandson, Christian S. Binkley IV; and brother: Larry Binkley.
Services were held Feb. 6 at Paul L. Gravenor Home for Funerals, Ephrata, with Rev. William Weiser officiating. He was interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata.
