Daniel Francis Dwyer Jr., 84, Ephrata, Reading-Conrail Railroad yardmaster, avid fisherman

Daniel Francis Dwyer Jr., 84, formerly of Philadelphia and Lewes, Del., died April 13, 2016, in Keystone Villa at Ephrata.
Born in Philadelphia, a son of the late Daniel F. Sr. and Marie (Satler) Dwyer, he was married for 64 years to Mary Ann (Grant) Dwyer.
A member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, he was a 1949 graduate of North Catholic High School, Philadelphia, and served in the Naval Reserves from 1949 to 1953. Dan was a yardmaster for Reading-Conrail Railroads and remained in close contact with his railroad co-workers. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed horseshoes.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters: Mary Ann, married to Thomas Bresch, Atlanta, Ga.; Patricia, married to Tim Martin, Voorhees, N.J.; and Bernadette, married to Michael D’Alessandro, Blackwood, N.J.; sons: Daniel F. Dwyer, III, Greenwood, Del.; and Timothy J., marred to Helen Dwyer, Ephrata; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Four sisters predeceased him.
Services were held April 18 at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, Ephrata, with Father Thomas Siconolfi, CSSR, as celebrant.
