Dawn Beaner-Miller, 76, Schick, Charles Chips worker

Dawn Louise Beaner-Miller, 76, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully surrounded by love from her family and friends Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Verna Beaner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Miller.

She spent most of her working years employed at Schick and Charles Chips, mainly in the quality departments. She enjoyed spending time by the water, fishing, watching football and playing cards with her family. Dawn’s children, as she referred to them as her "Fabulous Five" were her pride and joy.

In recent years, God blessed Dawn with a companion, Gordon Ryner, and they enjoyed every minute of the time they had together.

In addition to Gordon and his family, she is survived by her children: Debra Hollinger; Bruce, husband of Mary Bolich; Marc, husband of Annemarie Bolich; Susan Marks, fiancé of Brad Hurst; and Tammy, wife of Kevin Hoover; 15 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; a sister: Doris Platt; a brother: Don, husband of Janet Beaner; and many other close family and friends who will miss Dawn.

A life celebration service was held on Dec. 9 at Stradling Funeral Home, Akron. Interment followed in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

A special thank you goes to her team of doctors over the years that she referred to as her A-Team.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dawn’s memory may be made to the Lupus Foundation of PA, 218A W. Governor Road, Hershey, PA 17033.
