Deaths of Local Interest – June 14, 2017

Paul T. Good, 85, of Manheim, died June 6 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. He was a self-employed farmer, and was a former 4-H leader of the Baby Beef Club. Paul was known to have a good eye for cattle. He was a member of Erb Mennonite Church, Lititz. He loved using his God-given talent as being part of the Elizabethtown Area Men’s Chorus. He put special importance on spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by two brothers: Lester T., husband of Kathryn Good of Ephrata; and Raymond T. husband of Nancy Good of Akron.
Harold E. “Butch” Kaylor Jr., 75, of Elizabethtown, passed away June 9 at his residence. Butch retired from the Pennsylvania State Department of Corrections. A Free and Accepted Master Mason, he was a member of Abraham C. Treichler Lodge No. 682, in Elizabethtown. Butch enjoyed gardening, puzzles, camping, birdwatching, scuba diving, and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. A sister, Sandra Bailey, lives in Ephrata.
Chad J. Walters, 44, of Lititz, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 5. Chad volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader in the Lancaster area; he enjoyed camping with his sons. His other interests included NASCAR racing and rooting for his favorite driver, Rusty Wallace. He was a passionate fan of the Washington Redskins football team, and enjoyed watching WWE. His brother, Corey Lynn, husband of Karen Walters, resides in Denver.
