Deaths of Local Interest – 3/12/14
Alma F. Alexander, 75, formerly of Lititz, died March 6, in OrwigsburgCenter. She was a press operator for Federal Mogul Inc., Lancaster from 1976 to 2000. Her sister Violet J., wife of Robert Steffy, lives in Akron.
Janet M. Englerth, 80, formerly of Overly’s Grove Road, New Holland, died March 6, at ManorCare, Lancaster. Janet had worked at Frank Ix and Sons, New Holland. Spending time with her grandchildren was also a highlight of her life. Her sons, Kenneth and Steve, and sister Edith Blessing, live in Denver. A sister, Laura Gunzenhouser, spouse of Ben, resides in Ephrata.
Edward George Larson, 82, passed away peacefully March 3, at the Masonic Village of Elizabethtown. Ed was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Korean War from 1952-1954. His daughter, Judy Larson Enck, wife of Steve, resides in Stevens.
Edward C. “Eddie” Remp, 83, of East Earl, died March 4, at the Denver Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was a member of the Reading Fairgrounds Racing Historical Society, and he enjoyed racing modified cars, usually #4. His son, David Remp, resides in Ephrata.
