Denis H. Lint, 68, Leola, Vietnam vet, worked at Skyline, enjoyed shooting pool

Denis H. Lint, 68, of Leola, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at the Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Waterloo, Iowa, to the late Elzo and Gladys Irene (Kirkman) Lint and was the husband of Verna (Kellenberger) Lint of Leola. The couple would have been married 50 years on July 3, 2015.

Denis worked as a production contractor for Skyline until his retirement in 2000. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a member of the Ephrata Lodge B.P.O. Elks #1933, where he ran the Longboard League; Ephrata Amvets Post #136; and a member for 26 years of the New Holland Amvets Post #662. He loved to shoot pool and was a member of the American Pool Association. He also loved to golf and fish.

In addition to this wife, he is survived by a son: Troy W. Lint, fiancé of Darcy Szabo; a daughter: Tammy S., wife of Timothy Aungst; three grandsons: Travis L., Zachary J., and Joshua M. Aungst; one granddaughter: Brianne M. Snyder; four great-grandchildren; and a brother: David Lint.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Ephrata Lodge B.P.O. Elks #1933, 170 Akron Road, Ephrata, followed by a memorial service at 8 p.m.
