Donna B. Hockenberry, 75, Weaver’s Market retiree, attended Grace Evangelical, mother of three

Donna B. Hockenberry, 75, Ephrata, formerly of Blandburg, went to be with her Lord surrounded by the prayers of her loved ones Friday, June 9, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

She was born March 15, 1942, in Fallentimber, a daughter of Dennis C. and Geraldine C. (Simmers) Caber. On May 30, 1959, in Irvona, she married George V. Hockenberry, who died Sept. 21, 2006.

Surviving are three children: Bonnie S. Keith of Blandburg; Vernon W. of Lititz; and William L. of Elizabeth City, N.C. Also surviving is her mother: Geraldine C. Carnahan of Fallentimber; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marjie Mallen of Houtzdale; and Nancy Kruis of Staunton, Va.; and three brothers: the Rev. Gary W. of Wellsboro; Bernard A. of Ephrata; and Darrell C. of Reinholds.

She was also preceded in death by her father; and a brother: Kenneth.

She had been employed at Weaver Markets, Reinholds as a deli clerk, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Church, Ephrata.

Services were held June 13 at Mountaindale Baptist Church, Fallentimber, with the Rev. Ben Warfel officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, LaJose.
