Donna M. White, 69, worked at Weiser’s Market, Denver Senior Center volunteer, loved reading

Donna M. White, 69, of Ephrata, passed away Friday evening, Aug. 12, 2016, at the Denver Nursing Home.

Born in Lancaster, and a lifelong area resident, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Pearl Winters Andrew.

Donna was a 1965 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, and had worked for 20 years with Bulova, and then for Therma-Core in Lancaster for several years until she retired. After retirement, Donna worked for Weiser’s Market in Akron. She enjoyed reading, working on crossword puzzles, sewing, and traveling to the beach, especially Myrtle Beach, when she was able. She was also a volunteer with the Denver Senior Center.

Donna will be lovingly remembered by her children: Michelle M. White of Ephrata; and Gerald D. White of Goose Creek, S.C.; her five grandchildren: Alexandria, Ashley, and Dominic Lang-White; and Madison and Abigail White; and her siblings: Dolores Emerick of Lancaster, Dorothy (Gene) Goshert of Ephrata, and Douglas Andrew of Brownstown.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to celebrate her life in a memorial service to be held at The Groffs Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 528 W. Orange St., Lancaster, on Wednesday Aug. 17, at 7 p.m., with Pastor Dennis Andrew officiating. The family will receive friends at The Groffs on Wednesday from 6 p.m. until the time of service.

If desired, memorials may be sent in Donna’s memory to the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Center, c/o Lancaster General Health Foundation, 609 N. Cherry St., Lancaster, PA 17604-3555.
