Dorothy M. Drost, 84, E.C. Nazarene parishioner, Friendly Circle member, enjoyed birdwatching

Dorothy M. Drost, 84, of Ephrata, passed away Thursday, Aug.11, 2016, at Ephrata Manor.
She was born in Rocky Point, Long Island, N.Y., to the late Ethlebert and May (Wood) Davis, and was the wife of the late Robert L. Drost, who passed away in 2007.
Dorothy graduated from Port Jefferson High School in Long Island. She attended Sunday School for ladies at the Ephrata Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Post No. 4209 VFW Ocala, Fla.; Lititz Senior Citizens (Friendly Circle); and Golden Years at the Ephrata Recreation Center. She enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching birds, eating out, and doing puzzles. After retirement she also lived in Ocala for 20 years.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter: Cheryl Eckenroth of Ephrata; two sons: Kevin, husband of Dina Drost, of Shenandoah Junction, W.Va.; and Darin, husband of Michelle Drost, of Brickerville; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
Services were held Aug. 17 at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, Denver. Private interment will take place in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 280 Granite Run Drive, No. 180, Lancaster, PA 17601.
