Edna Mae Smith, 87, seamstress
Edna Mae (Stauffer) Smith, 87, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 at Lancashire Hall.
She was born in Lebanon County to the late Samuel O. and Susannah (Martin) Stauffer. She was the wife of Harold T. Smith, to whom she shared 65 years of marriage.
Edna worked as a seamstress for Hesteco Dress Factory.
In addition to her husband, Edna is survived by two daughters: Sandy, wife of Dennis Howe, and Dawn, wife of the late Michael Wolfe, all of Ephrata; four grandchildren: Wendi, wife of Shawn Miller, of Reamstown; Kelly, wife of Vince Mirack, of Lynfield; Sheri Howe, of New Rochelle, N.Y.; Michelle, wife of Shawn Nolt, of Ephrata; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Henry Stauffer of Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Leid, and brother, Aden Stauffer.
Funeral services were held June 7 at the Stradling Funeral Home with Pastor Galen Hackman officiating. Interment took place in the Fairview Cemetery Annex, Denver.
Memorial contributions in Edna’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Central Pa., Old Liberty Square, 4813 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109-1700.
