Eleanor M. Martin, 78, physician’s office manager, loved Florida and her grandchildren

Eleanor M. Martin, 78, of The Villages in Florida, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017.

She was born in Long Island, N.Y., to the late James and Ruby (Theen) Thirsk and was the companion of Joe Inzerillo.

Eleanor was an office manager in a physician’s office. She loved her grandkids, and the Florida sunshine.

Eleanor is survived by three children: Deborah, wife of Ronald Fasnacht, of Ephrata; Linda Reyes of Idaho; Richard Jr., husband of Cathy Martin, of Long Island, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Carolyn, wife of Robert Ober of Akron; Gail Kerr of Florida.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. Ninth St., Akron, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jeffrey Martin officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Eleanor’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society-Lancaster County Unit, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
