Ella Mae Hoover, 65, Ephrata, Martindale Mennonite member, was dietary aide at ECH

Ella Mae Hoover, 65, of Ephrata, passed away from complications of ALS Thursday, June 26, 2014, at her residence.

She was born in Clay Township to Katie (Horning) Hoover of Ephrata and the late Aaron W. Hoover.

Ella Mae was a member of the Martindale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. She had worked at the Ephrata Community Hospital as a dietary aide for many years.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by five brothers: Melvin H., husband of Martha (Reiff) Hoover of Leola, John H., husband of Ruth Ann (Garman) Hoover of Marietta, Marvin H., husband of Anna Mary (Brubaker) Hoover of Womelsdorf, Moses H., husband of Arlene (Nolt) Hoover of Myerstown, Aaron H., husband of Edna (Oberholtzer) Hoover of Bethel; a sister: Mabel, wife of Kenneth Sauder of Ephrata; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend of many years with whom she resided: Ruth Shirk.

Services were held June 30 at Martindale Frame Mennonite Church, Ephrata, with Bishop Amos G. Martin officiating. Interment was in the Springville Mennonite Church. Kindly omit flowers.
