Erla M. Leibig, 88, born in West Cocalico Township

Erla M. Leibig, 88, of Sinking Spring, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Mifflin Center.

She was born in West Cocalico Township to the late Harry and Annie (Althouse) Eberly and was the companion of the late Charles Wenrich.

Erla loved spending time with her family. She loved butterflies and crocheting.

Erla is survived by her children: Barbara Young of Ephrata; Loretta Schannauer of Sinking Spring; Charlotte, wife of Terry Beckham of Va.; Kenneth, husband of Sandra Leibig of Lebanon; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a brother: Alvin Eberly of Reinholds.

In addition to her companion and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Carol Springer and two sisters: Elizabeth Habacker and Katherine Martzall.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. An additional viewing will be held on Friday, December 6, from 9 to 10 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by funeral services held at 10 a.m., with Pastor John Leisey and Leon Eberly officiating. Interment will take place in the Mellingers Union Cemetery.
