Esther A. (Demming) Ziemer, 79, of Narvon, passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Richard S. Ziemer, with whom she shared over 59 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Adamstown, she was a daughter of the late George and Edith (Good) Demming.

Esther worked as a secretary and accountant at Bollman Hat Company, Blue Ball Bank, and SKE Construction throughout the years.

Esther will be greatly missed by her family and friends, for she loved them dearly. She enjoyed being involved with each one of us, whether playing cards and board games, putting puzzles together, or going to one of the many activities in which her grandchildren are involved.

She was an active member of Bethany Grace Fellowship in East Earl and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a great example to all of us, she loved her Lord, and lived out her faith daily.

In addition to her husband, Esther is survived by two children: Neal Ziemer, husband of Sharon, of Narvon; and Cheryl Haldeman, wife of Harold, of Bowmansville; two siblings: Margaret Harting of Reamstown; and Harold Demming, husband of Marilyn, of Adamstown; and six grandchildren: Eric and Jessica (Stoltzfus) Ziemer; Natalie Ziemer; Mallory Haldeman; Shane and Cait (Mull) Haldeman; Nathan Haldeman; and Lucas and Cassie (Good) Haldeman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter: Karen Ziemer; her brother-in-law: Bill Harting; and her great-granddaughter: Katelyn Faith Ziemer.

Graveside services will be held privately by the family at Muddy Creek Lutheran Cemetery.
