Ethyl M. Youndt, 90, Adamstown, worked at Bollman Hat Co., enjoyed Philly sports

Ethyl M. Youndt, 90, Adamstown, died Aug. 2, 2014, in Fairmount Homes, Farmersville.

Born in Reading, a daughter of the late Curtis A. and Mary E. (Werley) Zillhardt, her husband, Kenneth M. Youndt, died Oct. 31, 1976.

A 1941 Shillington High School graduate, Ethyl worked for Adamstown Hat Company and Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown. She was a member of Peace UCC where she sang in the choir. A caregiver to many, she was a devoted grandmother and was a Meals On Wheels volunteer. Ethyl loved sports and was a fan of the Flyers, Eagles and Phillies.

Surviving is a daughter: Sheryl A. (William) Hossler, Denver; twin sons: Kenneth C. (Helen Fabian) Youndt, Denver, and Kerry L. (Roxanne Warren) Youndt, Stevens; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a brother: Dr. Curtis Zillhardt, Paradise.

Sisters: Mary Jane Hagge and Betty Hoffman, predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. in Peace United Church of Christ, 34 E. Swartzville Road, Denver, with Rev. William E. Hoch, officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown. There will be no viewing.
