Eugene Trupe Gehman, 89, Korea vet, construction worker, enjoyed gardening, raising chickens

Eugene Trupe Gehman, 89, of Lebanon, formerly of Robesonia, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Cedar Haven Healthcare Center.

He was born in Denver to the late Wayne H. and Mamie (Trupe) Gehman.

Eugene attended the former Denver High School. In his younger years, he attended the Denver Bible Church. He worked in construction, and enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean Conflict.

Eugene is survived by three children: Dale Gehman of Dauberville; Dean Gehman of Robesonia; and Dolores, wife of Michael Gobright, of Brandon, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Anna (Gehman) Wivell of Denver; Mamie E. Gehman of Landis Homes, Lititz; Daniel T. Gehman; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by firstborn infant brother; and two other brothers:Wayne Gehman and Clayton T. Gehman.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
